Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Engineer to join our Managed IT and Security delivery teams. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career in IT and cybersecurity, providing hands-on experience in supporting the development and maintenance of tools, platforms, and capabilities essential to managed services. You will work closely with senior engineers and learn the ropes of both Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Delivery Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of tools that support the efficient delivery of Managed IT and Security services, including monitoring, automation, and orchestration tools.
  • Cybersecurity Operations: Support the enhancement of capabilities for cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Assist in managing and supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure secure and scalable infrastructure that meets client needs.
  • Kubernetes and Containerization: Learn and support Kubernetes and other container platforms to help deploy and manage scalable applications and services.
  • Open-Source and Commercial Tools: Help develop and integrate open-source and commercial technology platforms to support the organization's IT and security infrastructure.
  • Automation and Scripting: Assist in creating and maintaining automation scripts and tools to streamline processes across IT and security operations.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for tools, platforms, and processes, while learning and sharing knowledge with team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of IT and security service delivery by suggesting enhancements and assisting with implementation.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in IT, security operations, or related technical roles. Internships or projects related to managed services environments (MSP, MSSP) are beneficial.
Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cybersecurity principles.
  • Manages the design, deployment, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of high availability enterprise solutions that implement industry standards using MS Azure and M365
  • Knowledge of Azure networking services such as Azure Virtual WAN, VNETS, management of Azure Application/Network Security Groups, Private Link, VNET peering, Routing, Express Route, Site-to-Site VPN, and Point-to-Site VPN
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and an interest in learning about Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
  • Interest in learning about open-source and commercial IT/security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, monitoring platforms).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong willingness to learn and apply problem-solving skills in a technical environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document technical processes and share knowledge effectively.
