Job Description:ย 

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Norfolk, VA.ย  This role will contribute to the company's success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.ย 

Essential Functions:

  • Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature
  • Follows an engineered assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
  • Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
  • Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
  • Performs hand soldering on electronic assemblies
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment
  • Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
  • Strong Customer Focusย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
  • Capable of following an engineered assembly process and maintaining consistent quality and productivity levels.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office programs ย

The salary range for this role in Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $41,500-76,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
