WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Dry Land seeks an Entry Level Landscape Architectural Designer to join our team in El Paso, Texas. The candidate will work with Licensed Landscape Architect and the landscape design team to supports landscape architecture projects through design development, drafting, graphics, and technical production. Work under supervision to prepare plans, presentations, and construction documentation for a range of project types, including residential, parks, commercial developments, campuses, and public infrastructure.


DUTIES

  • Prepare plans, details, sections, and elevations; complete redline revisions accurately and on time.
  • Translate surveys and civil drawings into base plans using company CAD standards and templates.
  • Develop 3D models and illustrative renderings using SketchUp, D5, and Photoshop.
  • Assist in the preparation of site and planting plans, and basic construction details.
  • Draft conceptual graphics and schematic plans using Land F/X and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Prepare and format planting schedules and materials for documentation.
  • Conduct basic site and zoning research, code studies, and analysis under supervision.
  • Develop sustainable design solutions that incorporate native plants and efficient irrigation systems.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, architecture or related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have a good written and verbal communication skills (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with landscaping and construction is a plus
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work in the U.S.
