Job description

DESCRIPTION: Machinist sets up and operates conventional, special purpose and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to manufacture parts by performing the following duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Cuts material as required by shop router and sign off operation on shop router.
  • Works in accordance with OSHA Safety regulations.
  • Holds responsibility for wearing proper safety equipment in required areas.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, signs off operations on router.
  • Be sure that 1st piece inspection is performed as required.
  • Keeps work area and machine clean, neat and safe.
  • Performs other duties as required or instructed by Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Some experience preferred.
