Position Summary

The CNC Swiss Setup Operator plays a critical role in supporting production goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role is responsible for setting up and operating Citizen Swiss machines, troubleshooting issues, making offsets and tool changes, and ensuring machines continue running efficiently throughout production.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about precision manufacturing. This individual will work closely with production and quality teams to improve processes, reduce scrap, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Shift: Sun - Thurs, 11 PM - 7 AM, includes 10% shift differential. Overtime may be required.


What You’ll Do
  • Setup and operate Citizen Swiss CNC machines to support production schedules and quality requirements
  • Load bar stock, make offsets, change tools, and keep machines running efficiently
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, VMMs, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues and escalate larger concerns when needed
  • Monitor part quality and production output to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all quality procedures and safety standards

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous CNC machine operating experience or completion of CNC machining coursework/training
  • Experience using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and related measuring tools

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating CNC Swiss machines with Mitsubishi Controls
  • Setup and program editing experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing or medical device environment
