Job description

Cloud Security Engineer

The cloud security engineer will work on the development and execution of the firm's cloud security initiatives. The role entails ownership of how the firm manages access to and protects information stored in cloud compute resources. It also combines hands-on work with coordination tasks across different technical groups.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in computer science (or another technical discipline) or comparable work experience. Extensive knowledge of modern cloud environments, their security properties, and the tradeoffs between different deployment options is required, as is proficiency in Python, Java, or a similar language. Previous experience with the design and maintenance of mid-sized cloud deployments (hundreds to thousands of nodes) is essential. An in-depth knowledge of the storage and networking configuration options available from different cloud providers is also a prerequisite.
