Job description

Position Summary
Clinical Education Specialist generates new referral sources for healthcare diagnostic services to maintain and grow the region's existing referral base on behalf of Persante Health Care and hospital partners.
This is an excellent role in a professional environment, calling on medical offices and hospital administrators. This position offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive medical benefits, business and gas expense reimbursement and a monthly car stipend.
This position reports to the Healthcare System Manager at Persante Health Care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provider Relations & Business Development
  • Identify and develop prospective sources of referrals, or customers, by studying region's applicable market of physician offices, cultivating existing relationships and approaching new prospective physician offices. Capture daily activities in the company's customer relationship management software tool.
  • Call on prospects to explain clinical aspects of sleep diagnostics, related comorbidities and advantages of Persante services. Converts prospects to referring customers.
  • Maintain and grow existing referral base relationships with ongoing communications and services, including referral / order process updates, clinical journal references, provider and patient education via scheduled in-services as it relates to sleep disorders, testing and treatment; provider and client reporting and other services necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in hospital partners' sponsored community health fairs, lectures, hospital open houses, etc.

Customer Service & Territory Support
  • Exemplify ownership, initiative, and accountability for cross-business growth, customer service and support in territory.
  • Lead communication efforts between physician offices and corporate contacts to identify and resolve any service issues.

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Collaborative Persante team approach to achieve the goals of the company, and our partner hospitals.
  • Provide leadership to others through sharing of knowledge, experience and skills.

Professional Development
  • Constantly strive to improve consultative selling skills, knowledge of clinically related topics, regional competitors, and general market knowledge.

Meetings & Presentations
  • Prepare and present PowerPoint presentation for assigned weekly, monthly and/or quarterly business meetings.
  • Attend and participate in weekly, bi-weekly and quarterly meetings.

Required Qualifications
  • Motivated entry-level candidates with strong communication skills and a desire to build a career in healthcare are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a regional territory.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Experience working with physician offices, hospital systems, or diagnostic services.
  • Knowledge of sleep medicine, pulmonary, cardiology, or related healthcare specialties.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and healthcare referral management.

Physical and Work Requirements
This position requires frequent local travel throughout the assigned territory, prolonged periods of driving, standing, walking, and presenting within physician offices, hospitals, and healthcare facilities. Ability to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings is required.
