Location: Raleigh, NC Salary: $27.00 USD Hourly - $28.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Analyst
Job Summary: Data Analytics / Data Engineer Contractor
This role supports two major system overhaul projects and is expected to last at least 6 months, likely closer to 12 months. The manager is seeking someone who can quickly learn the organization's systems, become an independent contributor, and provide support across data analytics, automation, and reporting initiatives.
Additional Details
  • Interview Process: Typically one 45-minute virtual interview (sometimes 30 minutes). A second round may occur if needed.
  • Work Schedule: Hybrid, 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
  • Experience Level: Open to entry-level through senior candidates; no minimum or maximum years of experience required if skills and education align.
  • Industry Experience: No specific industry background required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
  • Work within Snowflake to access, manage, and analyze data.
  • Build and maintain automation scripts using Python.
  • Utilize Databricks for data processing and scripting activities (nice-to-have, can be learned if strong Python skills are present).
  • Create dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Support large-scale system modernization projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Quickly learn business processes, systems, and project requirements.

    • Strong SQL querying experience is essential.
