Job description

Job Title: Production Operator -

Job Description

This role involves assembling circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools and production machinery in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will follow computer-based, step-by-step instructions, perform quality checks on your work, and contribute to the production of components used across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches.
  • Operate production machinery to print solder paste and process smaller components according to established procedures.
  • Follow detailed, computer-based, step-by-step instructions for each assembly using multiple software programs.
  • Log into and navigate multiple computer programs at the same time to access the correct work instructions.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work before moving it to the next step in the production process.
  • Use basic computer programs daily to record work, follow instructions, and support production activities.
  • Handle general production tasks such as picking and packaging parts as needed to support workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and production guidelines.
  • Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and teammates to meet production goals and resolve issues.
  • Participate in training provided by the team to build skills in assembly, soldering, and production processes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production or manufacturing environments, including entry-level production work.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches safely and accurately.
  • Comfort using basic computer programs on a daily basis to access instructions and log work.
  • Ability to log into and work within multiple computer programs at the same time.
  • Basic assembly skills with attention to detail and the ability to follow step-by-step instructions.
  • Capability to perform visual quality checks and identify obvious defects before moving work to the next step.
  • Willingness to work 3rd shift and follow established production schedules.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and commitment to completing tasks accurately and on time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years of soldering experience, which can lead to higher starting pay.
  • Any amount of picking and packaging experience is helpful.
  • Background in customer service roles is beneficial, as individuals from customer service often perform well in this position.
  • Experience with soldering and handling small components is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and cross-train for higher-level positions over time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr.
