What we are looking for:
The SEO Manager will provide strategic leadership, execution support, and act as primary client liaison for a subset of Amsive's organic and AI search client accounts. We’re looking for a curious problem solver to lead a small team of SEO Analysts and Specialists and support our wider department with content and technical strategies, and help develop impactful, data-driven SEO and AI search campaigns for our clients.
The ideal candidate has previous agency experience, a passion for the digital world, a propensity to problem-solve, phenomenal attention to detail, and a boundless desire to learn. We look for individuals who are both “right-brained” (creative) and “left-brained” (analytical), able to synthesize actionable content strategies grounded in data. We are especially looking for someone with strong technical SEO skills and experience executing effective SEO strategies for large enterprise websites.
What you will be doing:
  • Translating client objectives into effective organic and AI search marketing strategies
  • Conducting comprehensive, prioritized site audits and proactively identifying content and technical SEO opportunities that drive relevant organic visibility and traffic at scale
  • Documenting recommended solutions in a concise and compelling manner, working with development teams to advise on implementation
  • Developing realistic business cases to convince clients to prioritize and implement SEO initiatives
  • Deriving strategic search query and prompt evaluations to drive successful initiatives based on attainable organic and AI search opportunities
  • Monitoring and analyzing site performance using a range of SEO, AI, and site analytics tools
  • Interpreting and explaining data discoveries as they relate to organic and AI search, specific initiatives, and client KPIs
  • Developing and effectively communicating SEO and AI search strategies, deliverables, and results
  • Performing competitive analyses to identify organic search opportunities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve organic conversion rates
  • Supervising QA of SEO implementations
  • Acting as primary client contact, providing education for clients around organic search strategies, tactics, deliverables, and performance
  • Leading (and inspiring) a team of 1-3 members in the execution of client SEO and AI search programs
  • Staying up to date on current search industry trends and technologies, and proactively communicating these trends to clients and the broader Amsive team

Who you are:
  • 6+ years or more of experience contributing to or managing SEO programs, preferably in an agency setting
  • Evidence of success with previous SEO campaigns for medium to large brands
  • Strong understanding of current SEO and AI search best practices, search engine ranking factors, cross-channel marketing principles, and a strong grasp on how to help clients meet business goals as realistically as possible, setting the right expectations
  • Strong understanding of concepts such as URL discovery, crawling, rendering, indexing, and ‘crawl budget’
  • Understanding of web performance and page speed optimizations
  • Inside-out knowledge of Screaming Frog and Google Search Console
  • Experience using other enterprise SEO tools such as Botify, Lumar, OnCrawl, Ryte, BrightEdge, STAT, SEMrush, ahrefs, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management and organization skills, ability to be flexible and adaptable and prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and connected APIs for data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (as it relates to SEO)

Additional Information
  • Salary starting at $90,000/yr, based on skills and experience
  • Paid time off that includes Unlimited Vacation Time, Annual Sick Days, Mental Health Days, and Holidays
