We are seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer in Utah to conduct field investigations, lab testing, and engineering analyses for infrastructure projects. This role offers hands-on experience in technical reporting, field inspections, and client collaboration, ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals in geotechnical, or civil engineering.

Compensation: $28-33/hour depending on experience
Location:ย West Valley City, UTย 
FLSA Exemption:ย Non-Exempt
Schedule: Hours may vary

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform geotechnical investigations and analyses to assess subsurface and site conditions.
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration programs effectively.
  • Perform field and laboratory investigations for geotechnical engineering and geological study projects.
  • Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations, and prepare technical reports for review by senior geotechnical engineers.
  • Provide direction to technical team during field inspection activities.
  • Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned projects on-time.
  • Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives.
  • Perform basic office administration tasks when needed.

What you have:

  • Bachelors of Science in Geotechnical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of related work experience within the State of Utah.
  • Proficient in soil mechanics.
  • Able to creatively apply engineering principals to solve new problems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in teams.
