Job description

The Full-Time Assistant Teacher will support the preschool classroom environment by assisting the lead teacher in fostering a positive, Christian-based learning experience for young students. The assistant teacher will help manage a class size of 10-20 children, providing support in daily activities, classroom management, and behavior monitoring, while maintaining strong communication with the lead teacher and contributing to a collaborative educational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
  • Supervise and monitor student behavior to maintain a safe and positive environment
  • Assist students with activities and learning tasks to encourage development
  • Help manage classroom logistics and maintain order throughout the day
  • Communicate effectively with the lead teacher about student progress and needs
  • Contribute to upholding a Christian-based educational atmosphere

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in education support
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of classroom management techniques
  • Understanding of child development principles
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Organizational skills to assist in classroom management
  • Pastoral reference and regular church attendance
