Job description

Entry-level technical support performing field, sampling, and recordkeeping tasks under direct supervision across environmental media areas.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections (satellite accumulation areas, central accumulation areas, POL/tank areas) and record findings.
  • Support hazardous waste labeling, accumulation, manifesting, and scheduled waste pickups.
  • Perform field sampling (water, stormwater) and collect data for reports.
  • Enter compliance data into government systems of record (e.g., waste/hazmat management and inventory systems).
  • Assist with supply and PPE inventory, spill-kit stocking, and general field support.

Qualifications:
  • Years of Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Education Level: High School or Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, or a related field
  • Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA PIV badge.
  • Certification Requirements: 40-hour HAZWOPER; hazardous waste (DOT/RCRA) awareness training.

Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,500

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the position's responsibilities, the candidate's education, experience, skills, internal equity, market considerations, and any applicable collective bargaining agreements or legal requirements.
