Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through rigorous testing and analysis in compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control protocols, and regulatory requirements.

The Lab tech is responsible for the collection, documentation, preparation and testing of samples submitted to the lab. As well as conformance or rejection of test results by applicable standard / order specifications.
Duties:
  • Collection of samples from steel coil, pipe and tubing products
  • Document required information from the samples.
  • Prepare samples for testing including machining samples to correct dimensions.
  • Conduct required testing per the ITP and applicable standards
  • Lab equipment including microscopes, tensile, hardness, Charpy and any other equipment required.
  • Operate and be familiar with Nondestructive testing equipment
  • Ability and general knowledge to safely operate acetylene torch, plasma arc torch, and hand grinder, forklift, overhead cranes, vertical milling machine, shear and other related shop equipment.
  • Basic housekeeping in general work area.
  • Work with and perform all other duties assigned
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
