Job description

Key Responsibilities
The QC Lab Assistant is an entry-level support position in the QC department. The QC Lab Assistant assists the Chemists, supervisors in the laboratory. This position entails strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP guidelines, and commitment to upholding environmental, health, and safety standards.

  • Work is closely managed and supervised
Essential Functions and Detailed Duties
Support one or more of the following laboratory functions: Analytical Method Validation, Raw Material, Finished Product, or Stability.
  • Following established procedures and assisting chemists in operating assigned laboratory equipment, including area and equipment preparation.
  • Assist chemists in Raw Material sampling.
  • Move, reposition, and access raw materials, containers, pallets, or inventory as needed to obtain representative samples safely and accurately in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist chemists in pH meter, balance calibration.
  • Assist chemists in inventory management.
  • Cleaning and storing glassware and other lab supply & equipment.
  • Prepare reagents and fill general use reagent bottles.
  • Stock lab supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace and ensure labs are ready for inspection.
  • Open receiving lab supply and arrange in respective area.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Adhere to cGMP's and Standard Operating Procedures as required.
  • Assist to support the team in data compilation and data entry.
  • To support the scanning and archival of QC documents/records.
  • Be able to perform other duties as and when assigned as per requirement.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must complete departmental SOP, GMP, and any required Qualifications.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to walk between buildings to access materials to complete sampling.
  • After six months of training, will have basic knowledge of lab environment.
Experience and Education
  • HS diploma or GED
  • No previous experience required.
Physical Demands/Factors
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands; talk; and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Compensation:
This is a non-exempt position that pays $19 per hour.
This pay represents the base hourly rate. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus which aligns to both individual and company performance.
