Your Impact:
As a Chemical Process Engineer at Formlabs Ohio, you will be the driving force behind our production efficiency and technical evolution. By leading the scale-up of new resins and optimizing equipment design, you will directly enable our ability to deliver high-quality materials at scale. Your work in troubleshooting, process redesign, and continuous improvement will not only reduce costs but also foster a culture of safety and innovation that is critical to our manufacturing success.
What You'll Do:
  • Process monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure continuous production improvement in uptime, capacity release, cost performance, yield.
  • Lead scale up of new resins from R&D to production.
  • Recommend improvements or redesigns for equipment and processes to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals.
  • Effectively interact with R & D, production, and maintenance teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement and cost down projects.
  • SOP and other documentation review, revision, and creation.
  • Help investigate equipment needed for new resins.
  • Effective communication at all levels.

About You:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a medium scale chemical facility.
  • Have a BS in chemical engineering or equivalent engineering field.
  • Independent self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and great attention to detail.
  • Are hands-on and willing to cross discipline boundaries to solve a problem.

Bonus Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and 2D/3D CAD programs.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe practices related to chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience with polymers, oligomers, and polymerization.
  • Some exposure/experience with automation, packaging lines, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plant engineering duties
