Centerville High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our Allied Health CTE Program for the first semester (Aug. 10-Dec. 18, 2026) of the upcoming school year. This position offers a unique opportunity to inspire and prepare high school students for careers in the healthcare field through engaging, hands-on instruction. Position Overview The successful candidate will teach courses within the Allied Health CTE pathway, with primary instructional responsibilities in: Phlebotomy and Patient Care Technician (PCT). Students in these courses gain foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary for entry-level healthcare careers and postsecondary education. Instruction includes both classroom learning and laboratory-based, hands-on experiences that reflect real-world healthcare settings. The candidate preferably would possess: Experience working in the healthcare field, preferably as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or other allied health professional.
Compensation for this position will be $145 per day for the first 10 days then increasing to $249 per day until the 61st day when full fringe benefits will be available and additional compensation will be awarded for up to 7 years of previous teaching experience.
