Per Diem Registered Nurse- RN

Hiring Range: $42.87 - $54.66Per Hour

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of clients in need? We're seeking an On-Call Registered Nurse to provide nursing care, medical supervision, and support to clients in our 24/7 Services units. If you're committed to delivering high-quality healthcare and making a positive impact, we want you to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with team members and collaborate with the shift supervisors to create, develop and sustain a positive and safe working environment.
  • Examine and assess clients upon admission, determine if client is medically stable in order to provide care within the scope of practice of 24/7 Services at KMHS.
  • Obtain orders from physician including the following:
    1. admission and provider orders within one hour of admit, when needed, after all pertinent information has been collected and treatment orders have been initiated
    2. seclusion/restraint orders per WAC 246-337-110
  • Document client care, medication, and treatment administration. Evaluate, monitor, and document client responses to medication, treatments, progress to mental health goals, and plan of care.
  • Write and implement nursing care plan upon admit. Review and/or revise every 24 hours. Collaborate with team (ie: Providers, MHP's, Shift Supervisors, etc...) to establish and obtain pertinent goals.
  • Administer medications and treatment in a safe manner in accordance to standardized nursing guidelines Organize medications for administration as directed by designated provider. Dispose of medications according to KMHS protocol. Count and order medication for clients, maintain house stock, and count and document controlled medications per shift.
  • Participate in discharge planning, review of treatment goals, assist in client medication educational needs, ordering of discharge medications etc.
  • Provide flexible nursing coverage. Rotate and be proficient in the nursing role in all units of 24-Hours Services at KMHS.


Minimum Qualifications:

Work a minimum of 2 shifts per month

EDUCATION: Associates degree in Nursing.

EXPERIENCE:Entry level (no prior related work experience)

LICENSURE:Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Washington State.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Nursing.

EXPERIENCE:Experienced (minimum two years of job-related experience)

Relevant experience working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness.

Capacity to work well with children and families.

*A sign-on bonus is a form of compensation for a new employee in addition to their established salary. Bonus amounts are prorated by FTE, and any changes to FTE before all bonus installments are paid may alter the total payout
