POSITION SUMMARY
The Registration Specialist assists the Registration and Student Records Office as the face of the office by being the front desk point person. This position also assists in providing back-up during peak registration periods and is responsible for managing the daily data integrity reports. This position is a part-time, 20-hour position.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Serve as the face of the Registrar's Office by managing the front desk and main phone line.
โ€ข Provide guidance on program requirements, prerequisites, and course availability.
โ€ข Address general student inquiries and concerns related to all aspects of a Registrar's Office.
โ€ข Utilize the university's Student Information System to assist students with registration, course withdrawals, and related academic processes.
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve registration-related issues.
โ€ข Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records by managing daily data integrity reports and updating student records as appropriate.
โ€ข Ensure data accuracy and integrity in student records.
โ€ข Assist in processing general student course changes during peak periods.
โ€ข Coordinate with colleagues to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
โ€ข Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
โ€ข Associate's Degree or equivalent in education, business administration, or a related field preferred.
โ€ข 1 or more years of experience in either a Registrar's Office or Financial Aid Office preferred.
โ€ข Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
โ€ข Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
โ€ข Familiarity with academic policies, regulations, and compliance requirements in higher education.
โ€ข Knowledge of higher education registration and student record processes preferred.
โ€ข Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Multilingual skills highly preferred.
โ€ข Contributions to a climate that supports a diverse student body, serves first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice through their work.
