The Senior MineStar Application Engineer is the primary on-site technical resource supporting MineStar applications, infrastructure, and operational technologies at the Tucson Proving Grounds (TPG). This role is responsible for maintaining and improving MineStar testing, validation, training, and demonstration environments through expertise in Windows server administration, SQL databases, virtualization, and infrastructure support. The position partners closely with engineering, validation, product support, and operations teams to ensure reliable and secure MineStar system performance.
What You Will Do:
  • Manage and maintain MineStar server infrastructure, virtual machines, databases, and supporting operational technologies.
  • Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory/LDAP user and computer management.
  • Manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and coordinate server patching and maintenance activities.
  • Support MineStar application deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities.
  • Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting MineStar applications.
  • Manage Windows Certificate Authority (CA) services and certificate lifecycle activities.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation tools.
  • Manage NAS storage infrastructure and data retention processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, database, networking, and infrastructure issues.
  • Partner with engineering, validation, and product support teams to improve reliability and operational performance of MineStar systems.

What You Have:
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, database, networking, and infrastructure issues.
  • Systems Administration: Knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V), system lifecycle management, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Database Administration: Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Ability to identify root causes, develop solutions, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, operational technologies, or MineStar systems.

Consideration for Top Candidates:
  • Experience supporting MineStar Fleet, Terrain, Health, Detect, or Command systems in production environments.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining MineStar solutions at mine sites, proving grounds, or customer operations.
  • Experience troubleshooting MineStar production issues involving servers, databases, networking, and onboard systems.
  • Experience supporting highly available operational systems where uptime is critical.
  • Experience working directly with MineStar customers, operations personnel, engineering teams, and product support organizations.
  • Familiarity with mining operations, dispatch systems, machine health systems, and wireless communications networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as the primary technical resource for MineStar infrastructure and operational system

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $183,140.00
