Job description

LAB/PRODUCTION CHEMIST - monitor chemical processes and tests the quality of products to make sure that products meet specifications. Adjust processing equipment to improve production efficiency and output. Collect samples from production batches, which then are tested for impurities and other defects. Prepare final product for packaging and shipment. Set up and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Prepare chemical solutions for use in production. Clean and monitor equipment. Prepare documentation of all work done.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· BS in Chemistry or related field required.

· 1-2 years of working around and with chemicals. This experience can be school and/or work experience.

· Ability to work in team environment.

· Ability to take direction.

· Good communication skills.

This is a full-time position. The level of pay will depend on experience.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT assists chemists and production personnel in the duties outlined above, including cleanup, and glassware cleaning. This is an entry level position.

Education/Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required. Some chemistry experience preferred.

· Ability to work in team environment.

· Ability to take direction.

· Good communication skills.

This is a full-time position, but can also be a part-time position for the right candidate. The level of pay will depend on experience.
