Job description

Stier Supply Company, an industry leader in the manufacturing and installation of interior and exterior doors for over 75 years, is currently seeking a Entry Level Field Manager. Our Field Managers are critical in maintaining Customer Satisfaction by ensuring jobs are completed on schedule, to correct specifications, and within budget while maintaining strong working relationships with customers' personnel and ensuring issues that are resolved promptly.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Walk-Thru Quality Inspections to ensure ALL jobs are completed to SSC Standards and to Code
  • Walk homes with appropriate documents for accurate Takeoffs
  • Ensure that Trim Crews and Punch Carpenters (when applicable) have the correct materials to complete jobs
  • Walk ALL active neighborhoods twice weekly to update Tracking Sheets
  • Turn in Tracking Sheets on Fridays to facilitate Jobs Starts process
  • Ensure ALL tasks are completed and submitted i.e. Takeoffs, Inspections, etc. per neighborhood DAILY
  • Maintain Job Starts in orderly manner to be available for all functions during neighborhood site visits
  • Compile notes DAILY from Walks, Customer Correspondence, as well as Punch Carpenter Reports
  • Complete all Punch Carpenters daily with organized list of tasks (when applicable)
  • Oversee Warranty for your area
  • Build relationship with customers' builders
  • Stay current on industry trends and news
  • Participate in any SSC provided training

The ideal Punching Field Manager candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • Strong Communication Skills for interaction with a variety of Clients, Subcontractors and Hourly Employees.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge and Hands-On Experience with Construction Schedules
  • Working Knowledge of Trim Installation in a Production Atmosphere
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills ? including Prioritization, Problem Solving & Decision-Making Abilities
  • Budget Management for Operating & Job Costs
  • Time Management Skills and the Ability to Multi-Task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Training:

As part of our commitment to your success, we provide a comprehensive 4-week training program to equip you with the skills needed for this role.

Training may be conducted in another installation market in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia. If travel is required, meals and accommodation will be provided for the duration of the training.
