DESCRIPTION:
Fisk Electric is looking for a Senior Estimator that would primarily be tasked with providing estimates, quantity takeoffs and proposal documentation . This position would receive direction from the Chief Estimator and work closely with Estimators and Project Managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform takeoff's accurately
โ€ข Perform plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates
โ€ข Research for and interface with vendors and subcontractors for proposals
โ€ข Perform data entry into and update material pricing in estimating software
โ€ข Update labor rates
โ€ข Stay apprised of industry standard software including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process
โ€ข Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoff's
โ€ข Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance
โ€ข Special projects as necessary
โ€ข Assist with other estimating duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree desired (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field); High School Diploma or equivalent required
โ€ข Prior experience in construction industry preferred
