Job description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Engineering Technician and support line engineering by performing CAD drafting and ProjectWise documentation maintenance of overhead conductor, fiber-optic cables, ground wire, and associated hardware.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, Washington with onsite 1 - 2 days per week. The hourly pay rate for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09) is between $24.68 and $27.59 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.  

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Drafting, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
1 year of directly related work experience is required. 
Experience must be consistent with the specific requirements of engineering, computer science or a related field.
Knowledge of engineering drafting practices.
At least six (6) months of engineering technician CAD experience is required.
Ability to read, understand, and analyze engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams.
Ability to use computer technology in the performance of assigned engineering technician work is required.
Experience using CAD software to create engineering drawings, preferably MicroStation, Excel, and/or SolidEdge
Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.

Preferred Skills:


Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
Experience using 3D modeling software, like SolidWorks or Inventor
Experience with database systems, like SQL, MS Access, or Power BI
Experience working with ProjectWise, SharePoint, or a similar system to maintain, store, index, and track documents.
