Job Summary
The Business Services Associate (BSA) provides vital administrative, logistical, and candidate-focused support to the Business Services Department. This position ensures accurate documentation, contract processing, job order support, and coordination across programs, enabling the Business Services Consultants (BSCs) and Business Services leadership to focus on strategic employer engagement and service execution. The BSA also supports employment-ready candidates with job matching, referrals, and workforce system navigation. This position will be located in our Business Services Department at our Tampa Center located at 9215 N Florida Avenue, Tampa.
Essential Job Functions
  • Complete data entry and prepare contracts including:
  • On-the-Job Training (OJT)
  • Incumbent Worker Training (IWT)
  • Paid Work Experience (PWE)
  • Special Projects (e.g., Summer Youth Employment)
  • REACH Metrics
  • Collaborate with Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, and Special Projects staff to align recruitment and training efforts with the Business Services Plan
  • Assist employers with creating or updating job descriptions as identified through the Business Solutions Plan (BSP) process
  • Assist with coordination hiring events, job fairs, and recruitment activities, including:
  • Outreach to participating businesses
  • Creation of marketing materials
  • Distribution of promotional content
  • Maintain detailed records of employer engagement, event participation, and service outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement
  • Process and post job orders received from the BSCs, as needed
  • Provide employment assistance to work-ready job seekers matched to:

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate in Arts or Science Degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited institution
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in:

  • Florida Workforce Professional Certification - Tier I required
  • Completion of Business Services Consultant Certification within one year of hire date.
