About Us

Within the USO, our administrative operations are primarily housed in the Trinity Washington Building located in downtown Atlanta. Our Information Technology Services (ITS) division is located in Athens. The University System of Georgia Shared Services Center (SSC) is located in Sandersville. The Georgia Public Library System is located in Atlanta. The Georgia Archives is located in Morrow. The State of Georgia Records Center is located in Austell.

This position has the option to select the Atlanta office located at 270 Washington Street, SW Atlanta, GA 30334 or the ITS Athens Office 2500 Daniells Bridge Rd., Bldg. 300 Athens, GA 30606 as the primary work location.
Job Summary
We are seeking an App/Web Developer, Entry Level candidate to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on websites and custom web applications for our customers and contribute to the future of our web support operations. You will work closely with experienced team members to complete assigned tasks, contribute to projects, and build foundational skills in both web development and business process automation platforms.
This position will, among other responsibilities, support both the Terminalfour content management system and the Decisions low-code/no-code platform. No prior experience with these platforms is required; training and mentorship will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of websites and web applications.
  • Assist with content updates, site maintenance, and administration within the Terminalfour content management system.
  • Support the development and maintenance of business process applications using the Decisions platform.
  • Respond to service requests; investigate issues, test solutions, and document results.
  • Collaborate with team members and customers to understand requirements and support project delivery.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating existing applications, including troubleshooting defects and implementing minor enhancements.
  • Ensure websites and applications follow accessibility standards and organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and platform improvements.
  • Assist in developing documentation, training materials, and end-user support resources.
  • Train end users as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in a related field; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts such as variables, logic flow, and conditionals.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A strong design sensibility.
  • Exposure to content management systems or low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with database concepts (tables, relationships, data structures).
  • Knowledge of state and federal web compliance standards and regulationsยฟespecially accessibility and inclusive design considerations in user-facing forms and portals.

Proposed Salary
The salary range for this position is $47,144 - $60,675 commensurate with experience.
