Job Description

NBC News is seeking a Post-Production Assistant to aid in all aspects of Licensing and Syndication, including Dateline.

Please Note: This is a short-term position with an estimated duration of 6 months or less, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Post Supervisors to create and organize edit projects
  • Assist with edits, ensuring media is available and organized
  • Restore archived media
  • Troubleshoot offline media issues
  • Facilitate graphic requests
  • Create screeners
  • Assist with episode delivery, meeting client’s technical guidelines
  • Complete music cue sheets
  • Work with Post Supervisors to ensure shows are archived and media is deleted
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of promo material
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of editorial production experience in long form programming for broadcast, streaming or cable network
  • Entry-level knowledge of Airtable, Google Sheets, Avid, video formats, basic post workflows and organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion • Strong written and communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends, flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

What we’ll offer: Production Employee (PEP) Regular who works more than 1,000 hours per measurement period:

Salary Range: $26/hr - $31/hr
