Job description

Parts Specialist

Our Parts departments are fast-paced, service-driven, and integral to keeping every vehicle — and every customer — taken care of.

We're looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be the go-to resource for retail customers, service technicians, and the body shop — ensuring the right parts get to the right place, every time. Whether you're experienced or just breaking into the industry, Rohrman Auto offers the training, inventory, and team support to help you excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist retail and shop customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock; locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and place emergency orders when necessary.
  • Provide accurate price quotes and complete parts requests for the service department and body shop in a timely manner.
  • Track and follow up on back-ordered parts; notify customers when special-order parts are received.
  • Receive, stock, and replenish parts inventory daily; assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Process charge sales, issue credits for returns, and ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed on repair orders.
  • Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins, new products, and product updates through ongoing training.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 7:30a-5:30p
  • Every 3rd Saturday
  • Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000 per year
  • Weekly salary plus commission check based on departments performance

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a dealership or automotive parts environment preferred; motivated entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Basic familiarity with automotive parts, vehicle systems, or parts catalog software is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills — friendly, professional, and efficient under pressure.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active warehouse-style environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Benefits

  • Affordable Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • Competitive 401(k): Build your future with our retirement savings plan.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Includes paid holidays and vacation after 90 days of full-time employment.
  • Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave: Support for new mothers and fathers.
  • Paylocity "Pay On Demand": Access your earnings before payday (up to $2,000).
  • Employee Discounts: Discounts on vehicle servicing and new car purchases.
  • Continuous Training & Mentorship: Grow professionally and advance your career within our group.
  • Employee Tenure & Recognition Program: We celebrate milestones and contributions.
