FT Campus Security Officer

Per Mar Security Services is seeking Entry Level and Experienced Security Officers to join our expanding team! Are you looking to change careers? Let us be your path to professional success! We are interested in you!

Per Mar is hiring full-time college campus security officers. 

Hiring one 2nd shift position with Wed/Thurs off, and one 3rd shift position with days off TBD. Both full-time, with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver's license, with a driving record that meets company policy.
  • Be qualified to obtain a security license for the State of Iowa, with no disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • Ability to handle physical nature of the position. Must be able to walk long distances, and be outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Weekend availability.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor campus property to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Warn violators of campus policies & regulations
  • Perform rounds examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
  • Answer calls for service from faculty, staff, and students.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
