  • Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of ASWB Bachelors level examination content covering human development, human behavior in the social environment, assessment, intervention planning, professional relationships, and professional values and ethics. Ability to explain biopsychosocial assessment, intervention modalities, and NASW Code of Ethics while preparing BSW graduates for Licensed Social Worker credential.

Guides students through analyzing client scenarios, identifying appropriate assessment tools, selecting evidence-based interventions, applying ethical principles, and understanding professional boundaries. Emphasizes connecting social work theory to generalist practice scenarios at the bachelor level.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with ASWB Bachelors examination content and common challenges such as applying ethics to complex scenarios, distinguishing assessment from intervention, and understanding human development across the lifespan. Adapts instruction using ASWB practice examinations, ethics case studies, and intervention comparison exercises to support BSW graduates preparing for Licensed Social Worker licensure.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
