Job description

The Junior Copywriter will assist in creating clear, compelling content for AutoZone's marketing channels while learning brand voice and messaging standards. This entry-level role focuses on supporting copy development for campaigns, promotions, and digital assets under the guidance of senior team members. It is ideal for a recent graduate eager to grow in a fast-paced retail marketing environment.

As junior copywriter, you will write and edit content for in-store, digital, and social channels, ensuring accuracy and consistency. You will collaborate with designers, project managers, and other writers to deliver high-quality work while gaining exposure to creative processes and brand strategy.

    Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, communications, or related field required.
    Internship or academic experience in copywriting preferred.
    Strong writing samples showcasing clarity and creativity.
    Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with digital platforms a plus.
    Ability to work collaboratively and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

    Assist in writing and editing copy for in-store signage, digital assets, and promotional materials.
    Support content development for DIY and Commercial campaigns under supervision.
    Ensure accuracy and adherence to AutoZone's brand voice and guidelines.
    Conduct basic research to validate product details and messaging.
    Collaborate with designers and project managers to meet deadlines and objectives.
    Participate in brainstorming sessions to learn and contribute ideas.
    Maintain organized file structures and follow workflow processes.
    Stay current on writing best practices and emerging tools to build foundational skills.
