Program Overview 

The Hyundai National Service Garage (NSG) provides maintenance, repair, and fleet support services for Hyundai Motor America's internal vehicle fleet. NSG ensures company vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready to support business operations, including engineering, testing, marketing, corporate, and executive use. 

Through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and fleet management, NSG helps maximize vehicle availability, reduce downtime, and maintain Hyundai's standards for quality, safety, and performance. The program is committed to delivering efficient, professional service while supporting the operational needs of Hyundai's internal stakeholders. 

Position Summary 

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Automotive Technician to join our growing service team. This position is ideal for individuals who have completed automotive training, have some hands-on experience, or are looking to start a rewarding career in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced technicians to perform vehicle maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs while developing their technical skills. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements. 

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs. 

  • Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and repair work. 

  • Install and replace basic automotive components such as batteries, brakes, belts, and hoses. 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 

  • Properly document inspections, repairs, and services performed. 

  • Follow manufacturer specifications and company procedures. 

  • Use shop equipment and tools safely and responsibly. 

  • Assist with additional tasks and special projects as required to support department and business objectives. 

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.

  • Strong work ethic, good attitude, and willingness to learn. 

  • Automotive Certificate or higher education 

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.  

  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.  

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous automotive shop, dealership, or tire/lube technician experience. 

  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair software.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $19 to $22 based on current experience.
