Automotive Electrical & Hardware Assembly Technician
Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Pay: $32.00–$45.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Multiple shifts available 
Job Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented Vehicle Installation Technicians to support vehicle preparation, hardware integration, mechanical assembly, and installation operations in a fast-paced production environment.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in hardware installation, mechanical assembly, vehicle modifications, manufacturing, production, engineering technician work, automotive systems, electromechanical assembly, and quality inspection. 
Available Shifts
Training Schedule (First 2 Weeks):
* Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Regular Shift Options:
* AM Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
* PM Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
* Perform vehicle hardware installation following documented work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Mount, align, secure, and validate components according to engineering specifications
* Route wiring harnesses, connect electrical components, and ensure proper cable management
* Execute system power-up procedures and perform functional testing
* Conduct quality inspections, verification checks, and troubleshooting as needed
* Read and interpret assembly instructions, technical documentation, diagrams, and installation guides
* Accurately document completed work and communicate issues to supervisors and engineering teams
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts
* Follow installation workflows with precision while meeting quality and productivity standards
Required Qualifications
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
* Experience in hardware assembly, mechanical assembly, vehicle installation, automotive work, manufacturing, production, maintenance, or related technical environments
* Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
* Ability to read and follow technical instructions, work orders, blueprints, diagrams, or assembly documentation
* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, and work around vehicles throughout the shift
* Ability to work safely in a production, warehouse, manufacturing, or engineering environment
 

We are prioritizing candidates with automotive-related, hands-on backgrounds, such as:

  • Independent automotive repair or specialty shops
  • Automotive audio/sound system installation
  • Automotive trade schools
  • physical vehicle teardown, interior panel removal, or structural fleet upfitting

Nice to have:

  • Building/repairing personal computers or other hands-on technical projects
  • Aerospace/aviation assembly or technician experience (excluding drone companies)
