CFL is currently seeking candidates to join our rapidly expanding team. We seek to hire a Electrician Automation. The successful candidate is a highly trained mechanical and electrical technician who is responsible for installation, diagnostics and troubleshooting in a highly automated SPC/LVT flooring manufacturing factory. The chosen candidate will report to the CFL USA Electrical Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Electrical

  • Leads all troubleshooting and process improvement that would require programming changes to PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc. in CFL USA facilities.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment to diminish and eliminate downtime.
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
  • Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
  • Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
  • Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
  • Repair and replace components as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all safety practices - LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, Hot Work, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, etc.
  • Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring electrical and mechanical technicians as needed

Mechanical

  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
  • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
  • Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
  • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally for training.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read/interpret/update mechanical and electrical schematics/prints,
  • Identification and proper use of tools
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Advanced understanding of e-stop systems
  • Advanced troubleshooting of electrical components such as PLC’s, AC & DC drives, relay logic, single loop controllers, pneumatics & hydraulics
  • Ability to create advanced PLC systems and programs for process and operational control

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required preferred.
  • Previous industrial electrician, mechanic (multicraft) experience strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to navigate the manufacturing environment in an LVT facility.
  • Must be willing to travel internationally.
