Job description

PRS Auto is hiring immediately for individuals to set up Railcars for loading new Automobiles working at the Spring Hill, TN rail terminal!  No experience is required in this entry level position as we offer On the Job Training and will teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful on the job.
This is a Part Time Position. 
Starting Rate is $18/hr with a rate increase after 90 days.
You'll typically work first shift, however, our schedules vary and you must be flexible for start and finish times.  Also, you must be available during weekends and holidays

This position is responsible for preparing the railcars for loading of new vehicles. Prepping railcars consists of inspecting chocks (tie down devices), doors, decks, grates, and clean the rails with a backpack blower. We also look for defects to be able to repair railcars.
All work performed on railcars is done following PRS Auto processes based on the AAR standards and guidelines.
This requires bending, squatting, leaning and moving plates to span railcars together. APPLICANTS MUST currently live within a 45-minute commute of Spring Hill, TN. OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring relocation will NOT be considered.

Applicants for the Railroad Auto Unloader position must meet the general requirements for employment with the company, according to the Company hiring process which includes:
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and a drug test.
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50lbs above your head, and climb various heights (Not afraid of heights) 
  • No GED or High School diploma is required.  
You will be employed by PRS Auto and will not be an employee of the Railroad.
