Live Events is a national live event production company and AV partner with hubs in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Orlando, specializing in concerts, festivals, corporate events, and sports. Position Summary / Objective

From start to completion, the A/V Technician is involved in details, spec’ing and engineering events, as well as, executing the Audio Visual elements during the event. This position requires strong technical skills in audio and video systems, attention to detail, and a structured approach to organizing tasks. The A/V Technician will follow well-defined procedures and take proactive steps to resolve issues efficiently with minimal supervision.

The A/V Technician role is ideal for a technically skilled, process-oriented individual who thrives in structured environments and prefers to focus on delivering high-quality, consistent work with minimal ambiguity. The role emphasizes task execution, adherence to best practices, and technical precision in supporting live events.

Role Responsibilities
The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of the role. This list is not exhaustive. The individual in this position will perform additional tasks as assigned, adhere to all provisions of the Employee Manual, and participate in company initiatives and projects.

Event Execution & Client Support

  • Support the execution of shows for Live Events by operating Audio, Video, and Lighting equipment.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients during events when needed, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality technical support.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits, taking appropriate notes and reporting questions back to the team.

Operations & Logistics

  • Create Quotes and Pull Sheets in the Inventory Management System.
  • Assist with Inventory Management and Maintenance of Audio Visual gear.
  • Work within clearly defined project timelines and scopes using inventory and planning tools.

Team Collaboration & Process Management

  • Collaborate with the sales and production teams by following established processes to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Update and communicate all Audio Visual layout changes to other team members and stakeholders.
  • Follow company processes for event setup, technical preparation, and documentation.

Work Environment

This role will report to the office, warehouse, and venues according to the daily work assigned. This role requires clear and timely communication with internal teams and external partners, primarily through structured channels like email, shared documents, and scheduled check-ins. 

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching; regular lifting and carrying of AV equipment up to 50 lb, with occasional heavier lifts; climbing ladders, scaffold, and lifts and working at heights to install equipment; frequent handling of small components and tools requiring fine motor skills; and the stamina to work extended shifts in varied indoor and outdoor environments.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, eligible for overtime pay. Hours of work are typically an 8 hour day with breaks and lunches given per compliance with federal and state laws.  The person in this role will work a flexible shift based on business needs. 

The person in this role should have the ability to work extended shifts (8-12 hours), have a tolerance for variable schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime, and have the capacity to work in varied environments.

Travel

This position requires regular local travel to various locations in the Atlanta area, but travel outside of the Atlanta area will be less than 10%. 

Required 

  • High School Degree or equivalent is required
  • 2+ years experience running Audio and Video systems for live events
  • Proven track record of positive client relations 
  • Audio experience using Yamaha and Beringer Audio Consoles
  • Video experience running Presentations and using Roland switchers
  • Proven understanding of industry standards
