Job Summary
This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong initiative and follow-through are essential. The Designer will have at least one year of experience working with BIM software. The design work will focus on Technology infrastructure design support under the direction of a design engineer. This will include but is not limited to Low Voltage, Audio Visual, Security, and Wireless systems.
Core Responsibilities
  • Perform product research to support the project or departmental initiatives.
  • Attend internal and external training sessions as required.
  • Use modeling software to develop Wi-Fi predictive models and active surveys to validate Wi-Fi system performance.
  • Assemble and organize information using various MS Office applications.
  • Peer review drawings and collaborate on design coordination with internal and external team members.
  • Perform site observations and CA support duties. Utilize PlanGrid and other tools to relay information to the project team.
  • Support the development and peer review of documents that may include Specifications, Bill of Materials, Equipment Inventories, and other project-related documents as required.
  • Attend meetings with clients and project team members for the purposes of information gathering and collaboration.
  • Participate in cut-over events that may include relocation, initial occupancy, or other events that require in-person oversight and coordination.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel to project locations.
  • Take responsibility and ensure the quality of work meets the required quality standards and deadlines.
  • Perform coordination with other project design disciplines, including MEP and Architectural.

Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum of three years of production experience in design, drafting, or engineering.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an IT-related field.
  • A passion for working in a team-based environment to deliver solutions to clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple project deadlines.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, BIM Tools, Wi-Fi Modeling Software
  • A passion for working in a team-based environment to deliver solutions for clients

Salary Range
This is a hybrid role with the ability to work out of any of our office locations (San Jose, San Francisco, Monrovia or San Diego). The expected salary range for candidates who will work in CA is $38.46 - $48.08 per hour. The final offer to our new team member will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the length, breadth, and depth of experience within the job and the industry, education, etc. ATCE is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
