Job Summary/Description:

KFVS/WSIL is hiring a Part-Time Meteorologist to join and learn with our First Alert Weather Team. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone building forecasting and on-air skills while contributing to weather coverage across TV, digital, and social platforms, especially during impactful weather.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

What you’ll do:

* Assist with daily forecasts and weather content for broadcast and digital platforms
* Learn forecasting tools, radar, and weather systems alongside the First Alert Weather meteorologists
* Help communicate weather updates clearly on social, web, app, and CTV
* Support extended coverage during severe weather as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

What we’re looking for:

* Degree in meteorology/atmospheric science (or nearing completion) preferred
* Some on-air, internship, or campus weather experience is a plus
* Eagerness to learn, take coaching, and grow in a team environment
* Flexible availability (evenings/weekends; additional hours during severe weather)
