Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Software Engineer / Software Engineer. This position will be located at our Space sector in Huntsville, AL.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Software and Controls Engineering team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The selected Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to software products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM degree
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Basic Qualifications for a Software Engineer:

  • Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM degree
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher

  • Experienceworking with Object Oriented Design, SOLID design principles, or software design patterns

Salary Range:

Associate Software Engineer: $72,700 to $109,100

Software Engineer: $87,600 to $131,400
