An Entry Level Associate Engineer is a junior engineering professional who assists in designing, analyzing, testing, and supporting engineering projects within a company. They work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop technical solutions, conduct research, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role helps new graduates or early-career professionals gain hands-on experience in their respective engineering fields. Responsibilities vary by industry but often include problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. It serves as a stepping stone toward more specialized or advanced engineering roles.
As an Entry Level Associate Engineer, you'll typically assist with research, data analysis, drafting technical drawings, testing prototypes, and preparing reports under the guidance of more senior engineers. You may participate in team meetings, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and contribute to ongoing engineering projects. The workplace may be a traditional office, plant, or lab, depending on the industry, and you'll often work on a variety of projects to broaden your technical skills. This role is designed to help you build foundational experience while supporting larger engineering objectives.
Strong analytical skills, a bachelor’s degree in engineering (such as mechanical, electrical, or civil), and a basic understanding of engineering principles are essential for an Entry Level Associate Engineer. Familiarity with industry-standard software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or MATLAB, as well as foundational knowledge of project management tools, is often required. Effective communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are key soft skills that set candidates apart. These abilities are crucial for contributing to project goals, integrating quickly into engineering teams, and developing professionally within a technical work environment.

JOIN MILWAUKEE ELECTRONICS – OVER 70 YEARS OF INNOVATION & EXCELLENCE
Milwaukee Electronics is a contract electronics manufacturer bringing innovations to life from prototype to production. Our mission is to Accelerate — expanding what's possible for our customers, our people, and our communities. We operate as One Team, Take Ownership, Seek to Serve, and Go Beyond.
About the Role
Quality Inspector III is not an entry-level title — it's a recognition of real expertise. In this role, you'll inspect PCB assemblies and box-build electronic products against IPC-A-610 and customer standards, using AOI, microscopes, and magnification equipment to catch what others might miss. You'll also be a resource for the team around you — mentoring junior inspectors, collaborating with Engineering and Production, and providing the kind of real-time feedback that prevents defects before they become problems.
If you have a strong electronics inspection background and take pride in doing precise, impactful work, this is a role where that expertise will be visible every day.
