Position Summary
Southern Air is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Management team in the successful execution of construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating project documentation, tracking schedules and project activities, supporting communication between stakeholders, and ensuring projects remain organized from start to finish.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple priorities, and demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation within internal and external systems.
  • Track and manage:
    • Submittal Logs
    • Request for Information (RFI) Logs
    • Daily Logs
    • Change Order Documentation and Logs
    • Construction Drawings and Specifications
    • Contract Document Logs
    • Punch Lists and Closeout Documentation
  • Assist the project team in creating and maintaining project schedules.
  • Monitor weekly project reports and ensure accuracy of project-related data.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams, clients, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Assist with material procurement and supplier coordination.
  • Prepare, assemble, and track project closeout documentation, including:
    • Operations & Maintenance Manuals
    • As-Built Drawings
    • Warranties
    • Attic Stock Documentation
  • Utilize spreadsheets and project management tools to track budgets, schedules, and project milestones.
  • Support document control through printing, scanning, filing, and distribution of project documents and drawings.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to Project Managers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
