About This Role 

A Day in the Life of a Mechanical Engineer I:

  • Providing creative solutions to mechanical engineering design challenges
  • Working in an interdisciplinary role, collaborating with peer engineers of varying disciplines.  
  • Solid modeling via NX and Solidworks.
  • Design capture and configuration management via PLM systems.  
  • Learning how to create professional engineering drawings for manufacturing per industry ASME standards.
  • Producing designs that leverage common fabrication and assembly processes while working with internal machine shops to manufacture parts on site.  
  • Creating structural designs by leveraging theory and analysis tools.  
  • Analysis and design of tracked vehicle of varying weight classes.  
  • Engine and generator integration into hybrid electric platforms.  
  • Operation of measurement tools, strain gages, and data acquisition systems
  • Documenting and presenting derived requirements, designs, analysis results, etc.  

Qualifications 

  • What You'll Need:  

    • Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field  
    • Technical internship experience preferred
    • Ability to work a 9/80 schedule (with every other Friday off!)
