Summary

A growing mechanical contractor is seeking a Plumbing Drafter / Detailer to join its design and detailing team. The company is open to candidates ranging from entry-level through intermediate experience, provided they have the right combination of plumbing knowledge, technical education, and drafting experience.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with experience in plumbing, 3D AutoCAD, and Revit who wants to continue developing their skills while working closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, modify, and update plumbing plans and construction drawings
  • Develop accurate 3D models and detailed plumbing shop drawings
  • Create drawings from contract documents, design drawings, and project specifications
  • Incorporate dimensions, design details, redlines, and project revisions into drawings
  • Coordinate plumbing layouts with architectural, structural, and other mechanical systems
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and potential conflicts
  • Make drawing revisions based on coordination meetings, project requirements, and field conditions
  • Support plumbing fabrication and construction detailing
  • Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, and project teams throughout the design and construction process
