The successful candidate will participate in a faced-paced, dynamic team environment supporting a U.S. Government contract that provides personnel security management to DOD.
The position involves the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of new and existing applications, in both a development and a production environment.
The candidate will need strong design, analysis and communication skills.
The hire will be Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of software applications in a federal government personnel security product.
Act as a developer on Web enabled J2EE type applications, coding, debugging, and testing.
Follows standards based software development/engineering processes and procedures, such as CMMI, and delivers high quality components/products.
Will also need to provide clear and timely status to management as required.
Must be able to work in a team environment and work independently with minimum management oversight.
REQUIREMENTS U.S. Citizenship Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance (based on SSBI investigation)
Entry-level JAVA developer with 1-2 years experience Experience with Java (J2SE and J2EE), JSP/servlet, JDBC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML Experience with UNIX Knowledge of WebLogic and relational databases is a plus Must have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Must be able to effectively articulate complex, technical concepts to on-site clients, non-technical management and co-contractors Must be a team player Understanding of application development lifecycle processes Common office software skills (Word, Excel, Visio) Must have a strong motivation to make a difference Familiarity with Department of Defense personnel security issues is a plus
