Position Summary
The Data Analyst supports the Personal Lines team by analyzing data, creating reports, and developing dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI to deliver digestible meaningful business insights. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate with strong technical skills who can demonstrate experience with Excel and Power BI through academic projects or internships. The position offers the opportunity to learn the insurance industry, collaborate with carrier partners, and grow into advanced analytics or underwriting career paths over time.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide advanced analytical support for business operations in all or some of the following areas: claims, client data, policy data, and external reporting.
โ€ข Extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources.
โ€ข Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management.
โ€ข Develop reports and deliverables for management.
โ€ข Model data using MS Excel, Power BI, and/or other data warehouse analytical tools.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with federal and state deliverable reporting requirements by performing data quality audits and analysis.
โ€ข Assist with training and mentoring other Data Analysts.
โ€ข Supports Data systems as functional administrator evaluating new release functionality to include testing and implementation of new functionality.
Required Experience:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, or a related field.
โ€ข Proficiency in Excel and Power BI
โ€ข Experience managing projects or heavy involvement in project implementation.
โ€ข Experience in Data Visualization and building dashboards
