Job Title: Data Analyst



Purpose: The Data Analyst is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of databases. The role ensures computer systems, equipment, and procedures are functioning properly for optimal efficiency by participating in reviews and overhauls. This role assists in the oversight of network security and compliance with industry requirements.


Status: Reports to I.T. Manager


Customer Service:

Assists internal and external customers with product or systems questions in a prompt and courteous manner.

Knowledgeable about computer software with an emphasis on POS systems, able to answer questions about them in a timely manner, and train in their proper usage.

Diagnoses computer hardware and software problems and repairs or arranges for repair in a timely manner.


Product Knowledge:

Maintains a high degree of familiarity with natural foods and the natural foods industry.

Stays up to date on new developments in the IT field relating to new products and services, new standards, and potential security risks.


Product Presentation and Quality:

Crafted data analysis reporting should be highly organized, accessible, and thorough.


Maintenance and Conditioning:

Helps to maintain computers and computer systems. Ensures they are in good working order.


Safety:

Handles all equipment in a safe manner.

Alert to unsafe equipment and removes any equipment that is unsafe from usage.


Teamwork:

Ensures department teamwork through trust and open communication.

Works with other departments in a collaborative and cooperative manner.


Accountability:

Accepts responsibility for their own actions.

Exemplifies honesty, integrity and ethics.

Job Specific Functions:

Monitors and maintains the accuracy of information and pricing in the POS System.

Interact with SQL data for reporting, exports, and data analysis

Provides data to create analytical context for Ends Policies and other special projects

Completes database changes as requested in a conscientious and timely manner.

Creates, monitors, and maintains promotional pricing and sales batches.

Regularly audits data to ensure pricing is correct and reflects any ongoing promotions.

Generates numerous reports regularly on various aspects of store performance.

Suggests, compiles reports, and prepares data as requested to help managers in decision making and category management.

Troubleshoots technology and equipment, for repairs where appropriate.

Enters data efficiently and accurately.

Helps to ensure that security best practices are followed, and data is secure.

Assists in the maintenance and administration of Active Directory and Domain control.

Diagnoses and troubleshoots desktop, WiFi, hardware, and network issues.

Works to standardize processes and thoroughly document them.

Trains users in the use of technology and helps them to better utilize technology.

Aids with the administration of Google Workspace; email, users, and data.

Willing to learn other processes and aid in other capacities as needed.

Engages in process reviews with IT and department managers

Explores and provides scripting to help automate and improve processes

Requirements

Preferred Technical Abilities

Previous experience with POS systems including front and back end functions.

Knowledge of SQL Server and Relational Databases

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, CGI, XML and/or similar languages.

Experience programming, coding, and/or building macros.

Previous experience with configuring and troubleshooting networks, firewalls, and VPNs.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Extensive experience and skill with Microsoft Excel and similar spreadsheet applications.

Understanding of Windows Active Directory Environments and network architecture.

Comfortable working on Windows and Apple Operating Systems.

Ability to perform basic repairs on computers and electronics.
