KYCO CLASSROOM IT/AV LIAISON

Division: KYCO Department: IT AV Experience: Entry-level

Start Date: 8/25/2025

The Classroom IT/AV Liaison assists KYCOM faculty with the effective use of educational technology during class sessions. They ensure all classroom tech-such as lecture capture, projectors, smart boards, VR systems, and Virtual Anatomy Lab computers-operates smoothly and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Acting as the primary point of contact between faculty and the IT department, this role supports uninterrupted teaching and learning activities.

  1. Assist faculty with effective use of educational technology during class sessions - P, T
  2. Participate in training on classroom and methods technology for the KYCO curriculum - T, CSD
  3. Ensure proper operation of classroom technology-including lecture capture, projectors and screens, smart boards, TV screens, camera systems, VR systems, and Virtual Anatomy Lab equipment - T, CT
  4. Troubleshoot technology issues in HPE, Booth Auditorium, and other campus classrooms as needed - T, CT
  5. Serve as liaison between KYCOM faculty and the IT department, providing guidance and support for technology-related needs - C, TW

Education Requirements: Must be a current member of the KYCO class of 2024 or 2026 in good standing.

Preferred Skills: Interest in technology; adept at quickly learning new software and platforms; prior troubleshooting experience; strong interpersonal and problemsolving skills; positive, adaptable attitude.

Work Schedule: Flexible around KYCOM class schedule; hours align with scheduled class sessions.

Work Conditions: Classroom and methods labs across campus (HPE, Booth Auditorium, Coal Building).

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, moving and setting up equipment; ability to remain calm and professional under pressure; comfortable interacting with diverse personalities.

Number of Positions: 2

Pay Rate: $500/semester stipend

Location: HPE Building classrooms
