Job description

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Entry Level Electrical Engineer
Electrical Engineering Technicians will provide machine test support, factory support, and factory tool requirement gathering. The primary responsibility of technicians is to build and service software systems and electronics that will be used in the next generation of precision agriculture equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Process requests by the Software Center of Excellence to install and test software on factory equipment and machines.
  • Generate reports on customer installed software and maintain database of released software
  • Conduct field visits to customers and test sites to set up and execute tests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test machine issues.
  • Assemble harnesses for testing to support warranty investigation or general product development.
  • Monitor inventory quantities and place orders to replacement hardware which maintains inventory of connectors to enable harness builds.
  • Generate monthly reports quantifying number of instances and time associated with test cell support and software management.

Required Experience
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude from past experience or hobbies.
  • Familiar with wire harness creation and basic electrical troubleshooting and circuitry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to various local manufacturing and testing facilities on a regular basis.
  • Ability to travel out of town for 2-3 days will be required several times a year.

Desired Experience
  • Experience with tools including oscilloscopes, multimeters, voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment is desired.
  • Familiar with software systems used for data management and reporting (Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Goal oriented individual with a passion for agriculture and off-highway equipment preferred.
