Position Overview


  • We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Belleville, IL team.
  • This role focuses heavily on advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and major component repair for Class 8 trucks. Ideal candidates enjoy solving complex mechanical and electrical issues and take pride in delivering quality repairs.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair late-model Freightliner and Kenworth (Paccar) Class 8 trucks
  • Perform electrical diagnostics, fault code troubleshooting, and check engine repairs
  • Conduct advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance services
  • Repair brakes, suspension systems, valves, gaskets, and hoses
  • Diagnose and repair engine, aftertreatment, and emissions systems
  • Perform oil changes and lubrication services
  • Diagnose and repair air leak issues
  • Perform tire repairs and replacements
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic software and advanced troubleshooting tools


What We're Looking For

  • Experience working on Freightliner and/or Kenworth trucks preferred
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience using OEM diagnostic software preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and repair skills
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • CDL is helpful but not required


Compensation


Entry-Level Mechanics

  • Starting at $20.61/hour
  • Eligible for a 5% pay increase every 6 months

Experienced Mechanics

  • Up to $34.35/hour
  • Additional $3.00–$3.50/hour premium pay available for advanced skill sets

Additional Pay

  • Overtime paid at time-and-a-half
  • Annual wage increases
