Job description

You will be the Aircraft Structural Mechanic for the SOF GLSS team. Our team is responsible for delivering highimpact structural maintenance and repair services that sustain critical rotarywing platforms for Special Operations Forces.


What You Will Be Doing


As the Aircraft Structural Mechanic 1, supporting a 2nd shift operation, you will be responsible for performing structural modifications, damage assessments, and repairs on both flightline and depot aircraft.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Perform structural modifications using riveting, fastening, trimming, sanding, bonding, and composite repair techniques.

  • Conduct damage assessments, corrosion removal, treatment, and preventative maintenance to extend airframe life.

  • Fabricate, install, and replace sheetmetal and composite panels, fairings, and structural parts per engineering drawings.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, repair manuals, and service bulletins while accurately documenting work in maintenance logs.

  • Execute structural repairs at both flightline and depot levels.
